Superstudio

One of the main Supergroups of the Radical design movement was Superstudio. Founded in Florence by Adolof Natalini and Cristiano Toraldo di Francia in 1966. They were later joined by Gian Piero Frassinelli, Alessagro Magris and Roberto Magris. The group’s exhibitions, Superarchittetura I and II were pivotal moments for the Radical design movement. They produced theoretical projects, such as Continuous Monument and commercial objects, such as the Quaderna series for Zanotta, implementing their iconic black and white grid.
