Rare even in its single form, Antonio Locatelli and Pietro Salmoiraghi’s Centropiedi daybed is presented in Different Tendencies in an exceedingly uncommon double version, Matrimoniale. Four base pieces with characteristic rounded feet made in lightweight ABS plastic are held together with nylon hinges. True to the time, the design focuses on pure geometry and practicality. Produced by Kartell between 1972 and 1977, the bed can be used as one double bed or two individual beds and can be stacked and stored when not in use.
